A turn- and grid-based strategy RPG inspired by magical girls and 2000's aesthetic!

You are directed by Entity, a mystery being, observing guardians battling it out against menacing Forces.

Choose your characters' classes and duke it out in two seperate maps! Gameplay is heavily inspired by tactical JRPG franchises such as Final Fantasy Tactics and Fire Emblem. In true RPG fashion, the game also includes dialogue segments.

GAMEPLAY INSTRUCTIONS

In combat, you control the characters with mouse clicks. A character can move once per turn, and performing an action will end their turn automatically (with the exception of one class). The tiles you can move to are indicated by blue squares, and red squares around their radius show the character's basic attack range. You confirm both moving and actions by reclicking a highlighted tile, and can cancel a pending action by right clicking. You can also always end your turn by pressing the corresponding button in the top right corner.

Regular attacks benefit from positioning — they become stronger and more accurate the more from the rear you strike.

You can zoom the camera with the mouse wheel, and rotate it by pressing the wheel. You move the camera with WASD buttons.

Your objective is to down all enemies in both combat scenes.

CLASSES

BASE (Attack Range: 1 Tile)

Base class for all guardians. No pros, no cons: no abilities, no complications! Choose this class when wardrobe change is not your thing.

KINGTH (Attack Range: 3 Tiles)

  • Kingth excels at dealing damage to enemies from a distance. Give up durability for high offense!
  • Passive (SecondWind): after a regular attack, perform another action during the same turn.
  • Plus Attack: deal damage to adjacent tiles in a plus shape.
  • Line Attack: deal damage to tiles in a straight line.

BRIGARDE (Attack Range: 1 Tile)

  • Brigardes are durable frontline fighters with high health and defense. Choose this class to prioritize endurance!
  • Passive (Regen): recover a small amount of HP at the start of your turn.
  • Taunt: draw enemy attention, keeping other guardians safe from harm.
  • AoE Attack: deal damage to characters standing in surrounding tiles.

WHIZMER (Attack Range: 2 Tiles)

  • Whizmer is a fragile but evasive mage. Heal your team and spawn an explosive decoy of yourself!
  • Passive (SpectralWalk): walk through obstacles and ignore movement ground penalties (and benefits!).
  • Heal: heal characters in a plus -shaped area.
  • Decoy: summon a copy of yourself with 1HP. Decoy explodes either on command or upon dying, dealing damage in a plus -shaped form.

In addition, you, as the Observer, take turns in battle. During these turns you can predict following turns, rewind back to the beginning of your last turn, or revive fallen guardians before their revival counter runs out!
